Kids

Here at New Life Kids Ministries, we desire to fulfill the purpose of New Life – helping people find new life in Christ here, near and far – in the lives of the kids and families of the Woodbury area and beyond.

On Sunday mornings, we offer an exciting and bible centered curriculum, The Gospel Project, for ages 3 through Grade 5 following the music portion of our worship service. Children will be dismissed before the message and will be escorted by adult leaders to their classrooms to be picked up by a parent or guardian following the service. Nursery care for ages 0-2 is offered during the worship service. See details below regarding our safety measures and policies.

We also offer an exciting AWANA mid-week program. AWANA is designed for kids who have never heard about Jesus to learn about Him for the first time, for kids who know lots about Jesus to grow closer to Him, and for all kids in between!

We invite you to explore the links below, and learn more about our Kids Ministries here at New Life. If you have questions or would just like to meet our Kids Ministries leaders, email kidsministry@nlcwoodbury.org

Welcome!

Here is some information about what to expect on Sunday mornings in Kids Ministries:

You can pre-register your kids (birth-Grade 5) for our Kids Ministries program and save time when arriving Sunday morning! Pre-register here.

As you arrive Sunday mornings, there will be friendly, helpful people available in the Great Room (open area inside the main entrance) to help you check in your kids. We encourage you to arrive 10-15 minutes before the 10:30am worship service so we can explain our check-in process, show you the kids area and class offerings and answer your questions.

Our computerized check-in system provides security for kids while parents attend the service. Once your child is registered, you will check him/her in and receive a name tag for your child with a corresponding parent pick-up slip. The pick-up slip ensures that only a parent or guardian may pick up their child. In addition, all of our volunteers have passed background checks and the majority have been certified in First Aid/CPR.

In order to ensure the health of other children and volunteers, please refrain from bringing your child if anyone in your household has had any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, new loss of taste or smell, headache, body aches, fatigue, sore throat, diarrhea, vomiting, rash, non-clear runny nose, or has been on antibiotics for less than 24 hours.

New Life does not provide snacks for any of our kids classes.

If we need to contact you after you have dropped off your child, we will text you on the cell number you provide at the time of check-in.

Sunday School (age 3-Grade 5)

Kids are dismissed from our 10:30am worship service before the message for a fun, interactive learning experience designed just for them! Kids are accompanied by adult leaders to our Sunday School classrooms where they can be picked up following the service.

Our Nursery rooms feature caring and trained volunteers who engage our little ones with age-appropriate equipment and activities.

Sunday 10:30am (service time): Nursery care for kids 0-2 is available.

Midweek: Care for Nursery and Preschool ages is available during our Tuesday morning Women’s Bible Studies session.

Awana

Wednesday Nights (Age 3 – Grade 6)

The AWANA ministry of New Life meets during the school year on Wednesday nights, 6:30-8pm.

The AWANA mission is to reach children everywhere with the gospel of Jesus Christ and engage them in lifelong discipleship, helping them to know, love and serve God. Awana Club teaches kids about Jesus and helps them develop socially, relationally and spiritually through age-appropriate Bible lessons, scripture memory, games and fun!

Watch for registration in the Fall. For questions about Awana Club (age 3-Grade 6) at New Life, email Vicki Holst (vicki_holst@hotmail.com).

Sunday Nights – Trek & Journey (Grades 6-12)

Awana Youth Ministries provides an integrated spiritual growth strategy for youth ages 3-Grade 12. Trek and Journey are the natural progression of Awana programs that follow T&T.

Trek® has Biblically rich content with practical application for middle school students’ lives. Each lesson includes an activity, lesson, memory verse and seven days of devotions that help students understand the Bible.

Journey® establishes high school students as lifelong disciples through a deep study of God’s Word, mobilizing them to live with godly perspective and evident faith.

Trek & Journey meet every other Sunday night during the school year from 6:00 to 8:30pm at the Gramer’s home. It involves games/large group Bible teaching from the Trek & Journey material/small group section sign-offs and ends with snack time. Email Bill & Paula Gramer (gramerfamily@comcast.net) with questions about the schedule.
